Strong Tower: A Daily Scripture Reflection

Numbers 7:75 NLT
“He brought a young bull, a ram, and a one-year-old male lamb for a burnt offering,”

Worship the Lord with gladness
All the animals listed in the referenced scripture are domesticated species. However, domestication does not eliminate their natural tendencies toward misbehaviour, such as resisting handling or becoming agitated. Despite the probable unruly conduct involved in bringing these animals before Moses, Pagiel remained steadfast. The scripture records that he brought these animals as part of his dedication offering, demonstrating his commitment. Recognizing that animals will always behave according to their nature, Pagiel likely experienced some stress during their transport to Moses, possibly due to their restlessness or anxiety. Nonetheless, this did not deter him from his purpose: to present them as a burnt offering to the Lord. Friends, nothing we do for God should be considered stressful; instead, let us worship Him with gladness, as the Psalmist enjoins us in Psalm 100.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I humbly request your guidance to maintain a joyful spirit in worshiping You throughout my life. Kindly prevent sorrow from entering my spiritual journey, for at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
