Numbers 7:76 NLT
“and a male goat for a sin offering.”
Have you done your part?
Although a male goat was among the animals Pagiel brought for a burnt offering, its purpose was unambiguous. Pagiel had explicitly informed Moses that the goat was intended as a sin offering. Remember, these animals, including the male goat, were presented publicly, ensuring that everyone present understood that Pagiel, like other tribal leaders before him, needed to seek atonement for his sins before God. Interestingly, the public knowledge of his request did not bother him. Friends, let us not hesitate to ask God for forgiveness openly. Remember, to err is human, but to forgive is divine. God readily forgives anyone who sincerely asks for forgiveness and has forgiven others for their trespasses. Therefore, remember to do your part so God can do His.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please forgive me my trespasses, including my thoughts, words, and actions that have fallen short of Your standards, as I have sincerely forgiven those who have trespassed against me, whether through harm, neglect, or misunderstanding. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
