Numbers 7:72 NLT
“On the eleventh day Pagiel son of Ocran, leader of the tribe of Asher, presented his offering.”
On the eleventh day
In economics, a theory holds that the satisfaction derived from an endeavour diminishes over time. While this principle holds for humans, it isn’t true for God. If it were true, God would have told Moses, after receiving some of the dedication offering, to tell the other tribal leaders not to bother bringing theirs. The fact that Pagiel wasn’t stopped from bringing his dedication offering suggests that God remains ever-accepting of the offerings His people bring out of genuine gratitude. Another important nuance is that Pagiel’s offering was not seen as the eleventh dedication offering. Instead, it was considered a unique contribution, highlighting its special value. Friends, God values your offering deeply, and it carries its own significance.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that I will never hold back my Thanksgiving to You but always be ready to offer it to You. Thank You for assuring me that every Thanksgiving given in honour of Your name is appreciated. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
