Numbers 7:5 NLT
“Receive their gifts, and use these oxen and wagons for transporting the Tabernacle. Distribute them among the Levites according to the work they have to do.”

Receive their gifts
Acting without divine guidance always invites divine wrath; however, when our actions align with God’s instructions, we find true peace with Him. Patience in seeking God’s direction is crucial—never rush ahead or presume to decide for Him.

The scripture makes it clear that Moses did not choose to accept the gifts himself; rather, God initiated the gesture. The phrase “Receive their gifts” underscores divine authority in the matter. It’s also significant that God accepted these offerings from the tribal leaders; had He not, their sacrifices would have been rejected. As the word of God states, a sinner’s sacrifice is an abomination to Him. Remember Cain—his rejection came before his offering was turned away. The real question is: are you living in a way that pleases God and allows him to accept and bless your gifts?

Another key point is that there was no bad apple among the tribal leaders. If there had been, it could have tainted the entire offering. Their acceptance suggests that their sacrifices were genuine and sincere, not for show, without pride or pretense, and that they sought to honour God rather than seek acknowledgment.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me to always patiently wait for Your specific guidance and direction in every situation I encounter, trusting in Your wisdom and timing. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
