“His offering consisted of a silver platter weighing 3-1/4 pounds and a silver basin weighing 1-3/4 pounds (as measured by the weight of the sanctuary shekel). These were both filled with grain offerings of choice flour moistened with olive oil.”
What are you filled with?
The word “both” is never used to describe a single object but always to refer to two separate items. Analyzing this in light of the referenced scripture indicates that the silver basin and silver platter were distinct, individual vessels, each with its own purpose and significance. More importantly, Elishama did not bring either of them empty, but each was filled with “grain offerings of choice flour moistened with olive oil,” emphasizing the importance and deliberate selection of their contents. It is worth noting that Moses reported that Elishama carefully filled the two articles with this mixture, highlighting the intentionality and care that went into their preparation. Friends, consider this: what is your life truly full of? When others come into close contact with you, can they affirm that your life is filled with acceptable qualities such as kindness, humility, and integrity, or with detestable characters like deceit and pride?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that outward and more importantly, inward parts of my life will give glory to You. I will stink but be full of godly characters worthy of being reported. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
