Numbers 7:52 NLT
“and a male goat for a sin offering.”
Would you associate with it?
As humans, we instinctively strive to enhance our public image and distance ourselves from anything that could tarnish it. Take Elishama, for example—he brought a male goat for a sin offering, an act that might have hurt his reputation. Yet, he did it because he saw himself as a sinner in need of redemption. This public act boldly demonstrates that he wasn’t ashamed to seek salvation from the Lord openly. Friends, do you see yourself as a sinner? Remember, you don’t need a male goat or any earthly thing for atonement. Instead, trust in the Lord, just like the Philippian jailer in Acts 16, who received forgiveness—and more importantly, the grace to be called a child of God.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I humbly come before You in prayer, seeking Your forgiveness for my sins. Please cleanse my heart, forgive my mistakes, and restore me to wholeness through Your divine grace. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
