Numbers 7:35 NLT
“For a peace offering he brought two bulls, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs. This was the offering brought by Elizur son of Shedeur.”

Whether voluntary or not, do it well!
There is something intrinsic about human behaviour: whenever an activity is labelled as ‘voluntary’, people often pay less attention to it and treat it with indifference. However, this pattern did not apply to Elizur. He did not, owing to the voluntary nature of the peace offering, ignore or overlook it. Instead, he actively attended to the offering because Moses emphasized the significance of the animals brought for this purpose. Elizur offered animals because he believed these offerings symbolized his fellowship and sincere devotion to the Lord, reflecting a deep spiritual connection. Moreover, Elizur did not present unacceptable animals; he was meticulous in his offerings. However, he did not necessarily excel in providing large quantities, nor did he focus on superior quality assurance. His actions were driven by genuine intent rather than by the desire to impress through abundance or exceptional quality.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me to remain attentive to every effort I make that brings joy to You, whether it involves voluntary service, daily acts of kindness, or moments of reflection, so that I do not overlook any endeavour that pleases You. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
