Numbers 8:20 NLT
“So Moses, Aaron, and the whole community of Israel dedicated the Levites, carefully following all the Lord’s instructions to Moses.”

Everyone was on board, so we must be too
Harmony is a fundamental virtue that children of God are required to consistently demonstrate. In the referenced scripture, we see how Moses, Aaron, and the entire community of Israel united to dedicate the Levites, highlighting their collective commitment and spiritual cohesion. Their united effort would not have been possible if they were not in one accord or if they harboured grudges or differences among themselves, which could have disrupted the solemnity of the event.

Additionally, although the exercise was primarily for Moses and Aaron to perform, the entire community actively participated, probably motivated by their recognition of the vital role the Levites would play in serving as ministers before the Lord and assisting in temple duties, symbolizing communal dedication to God’s service. Finally, it is evident that everyone strictly adhered to the instructions given by the Lord to Moses regarding the dedication process.

From start to finish of the dedication exercise, Aaron, his sons, and even the entire community of Israel didn’t challenge any of the instructions Moses provided. In fact, the scripture says they followed all of them precisely, demonstrating their trust that these directives were divine commands. This unwavering obedience underscores their faith in God’s guidance and the divine origin of Moses’ instructions.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that I will not neglect any task relevant to Your vineyard, whether it involves my immediate responsibilities or larger spiritual duties. I pray that I will always diligently and accurately follow all Your specific instructions, ensuring I serve faithfully and attentively in Your divine work. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
