Strong Tower: A Daily Scripture Reflection

Numbers 7:89 NLT
“Whenever Moses went into the Tabernacle to speak with the Lord, he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement—that rests on the Ark of the Covenant. The Lord spoke to him from there.”

Keeping in touch regularly
In the referenced scripture, it is evident that Moses did not adhere to any strict or regimented schedule when communicating with the Lord. If such a schedule existed, the scripture would likely have specified a fixed time rather than using the word “whenever” to describe his conversations with God. The term “whenever” in the referenced scripture carries multiple connotations regarding the relationship between Moses and God: first, it indicates that Moses had unrestricted access to the Lord; second, it suggests that Moses was always eager and willing to enter God’s presence without hesitation; third, it implies that Moses’s hands and heart were pure, free from guilt or sin, allowing him to approach God at any moment. Interestingly, Moses did not need to perform any formal rituals or ceremonial preparations to meet with the Lord. Friends, how prepared are you to communicate with God on the “whenever” basis?

Prayer
Heavenly Father, You are always present and eager to connect with me. I pray that I will continually prepare my heart and mind to come close to You. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
