“On the ninth day Abidan son of Gideoni, leader of the tribe of Benjamin, presented his offering.”
On the ninth day
It is highly probable that Abidan, son of Gideoni of the tribe of Reuben, was aware from the very beginning of the offering presentation that his turn would come on the ninth day. Yet he did not push for an earlier turn but patiently waited until the designated time, which ultimately arrived, demonstrating his unwavering faith and obedience. This illustrates the principle that your moment will eventually come, and when it does, your significance will be recognized and shine brightly before God and the congregation. Note that Moses didn’t de-emphasize Abidan’s endeavour but treated it the same way he did for offerings of the tribal leaders who had presented before him, emphasizing respect and equal regard. Friends, you are valued by God, and don’t think otherwise.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me to understand deeply that You value me always, especially during times of doubt or difficulty. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
