Numbers 7:29 NLT
“For a peace offering he brought two bulls, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs. This was the offering brought by Eliab son of Helon.”

Peace with God
In the referenced scripture, Moses records that Eliab, the son of Helon, brought animals that were acceptable for a particular sacrificial purpose. The scripture indicates these animals were intended as a peace offering to God, symbolizing reconciliation and devotion. This act was truly commendable because Eliab performed it voluntarily, without any external prompting or pressure, demonstrating genuine faith and commitment.

Eliab took the initiative to seek reconciliation and peace with God through this sacrifice. Friend, did you know that God desires the same sincere devotion from you? However, be aware that God is no longer asking for animal blood for this purpose, because the blood of Jesus on the Cross at Calvary has already paid the full price for our sins, establishing a new covenant through which we have peace with God.

More importantly, understand that true peace with God is solidified when there is no resentment with one’s neighbours, family members, or friends. The scripture enjoins us to live at peace with all men. So we cannot claim to be at peace with God if we despise or neglect those whom He created in His own image, for genuine faith is demonstrated through love, reconciliation, and compassionate action.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me to demonstrate the genuine faith I have in You through acts of love, such as caring for others and forgiving wrongs, reconciliation by fostering peace and understanding between people, and compassionate action, like assisting those in need and showing kindness in daily life. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
