Numbers 7:24 NLT
“On the third day Eliab son of Helon, leader of the tribe of Zebulun, presented his offering.”
On the third day
Whenever there are limited spots for special opportunities, we often rely on sequencing methods like first-in-first-out or last-in-first-out to manage the flow. In situations where this sequencing rule is missing or applied without careful thought, chaos and disorder tend to result, undermining the original plan. Interestingly, the tribal leaders of Israel applied the order by which the Lord stationed them around the Tabernacle, and there was no chaos. Like the tribal leaders of Israel, we must be conversant with the pattern God has given us and play by it.
Another message is that, no matter when you present your offering—whether at the beginning, middle, or end of a ceremony—God is always willing to accept it. This shows a clear understanding that God’s timing and opportunities are open to everyone. Friends, your moment will not pass you by; so be ready to seize it when it comes. What seemed as though it would never come was eventually reported in the past tense for Eluab, son of Helon. Likewise, what you are looking forward to will come to pass.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, just as the appointed day arrived for Eliab, son of Helon, to present his offering before You at the Tabernacle, I pray that all the blessings and desires I am longing for—intended to bring glory to Your name—will also come to pass in my life with divine timing and purpose. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
