Not all statements can be made lightly; they demand careful scrutiny. Clearly, Moses didn’t casually claim that Nethanel’s offering contained specific items without conducting a thorough inspection. He must have carefully examined the offering to ensure everything was in order before speaking. Friends, let us learn to base our assertions on verified facts, obtained through diligent investigation rather than hearsay or emotional reactions.
Another key point is that Nethanel must have submitted his offering for Moses to inspect; otherwise, such a statement wouldn’t have been possible. Nethanel didn’t just rely on a “trust me” attitude or challenge. Friend, do you regularly allow the Holy Spirit to inspect your life, examining your motives and actions? Or do you resist or feel uncomfortable with such scrutiny? Remember, if God has set guidelines for oversight and accountability, it’s your duty to follow them diligently. Never let excuses like “don’t you trust me” cause you to neglect your responsibilities or compromise your integrity. If the Holy Spirit were to examine your life closely, would the results show a heart fully surrendered to God and aligned with His standards?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me confront and overcome every uptight, rigid mindset that resists my willingness to release myself fully for divine inspection and guidance, acknowledging that openness is necessary for spiritual growth and transformation. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
