Strong Tower: A Daily Scripture Reflection

Numbers 7:87 NLT
“Twelve young bulls, twelve rams, and twelve one-year-old male lambs were donated for the burnt offerings, along with their prescribed grain offerings. Twelve male goats were brought for the sin offerings.”

What is worth doing is worth doing well
In the referenced scripture, it is described that Moses carefully counted the animals brought by the tribal leaders, tallying exactly 12 animals for each category. The use of the word “donated” underscores that these offerings were made voluntarily and honestly, without deception or pressure; they were genuine acts of honour and devotion to God. Another lesson is that these tribal leaders didn’t hold back or offer half-heartedly because they remembered to include the complementary offerings. The scripture explicitly mentions that the leaders added the “prescribed grain offerings” along with the animals, emphasizing that if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing well. Friends, we mustn’t leave out anything God desires when we offer to Him, showing even greater sincerity than these tribal leaders in their offerings.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that I will not close my eyes to what You desire from me, including the specific ways I can serve others, follow Your commandments, and grow in faith and obedience. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
