Strong Tower: A Daily Scripture Reflection

Numbers 7:38 NLT
“He also brought a gold container weighing four ounces, which was filled with incense.”
Filled with incense
In the referenced scripture, Moses notes that Shelumiel, son of Zurishaddai, brought a gold container filled with incense that must have been in the precise form the Lord desired. The message here is that Moses must have opened the container to examine its contents. Interestingly, he was not disappointed, for it was indeed filled with incense, indicating that the container had been purposefully packed with meaningful offerings. In other words, Shelumiel didn’t sprinkle the container with a handful of common incense or fill it with irrelevant materials that hold no significance to the Lord. Friends, what is your life filled with? Is it with contempt for or gratitude to the Lord?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me to ensure that both my outward actions and, more importantly, my inward thoughts consistently give glory to You. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
