Strong Tower: A Daily Scripture Reflection

Numbers 8:21 NLT
“The Levites purified themselves from sin and washed their clothes, and Aaron lifted them up and presented them to the Lord as a special offering. He then offered a sacrifice to purify them and make them right with the Lord.”
The Levites purified themselves
It’s often said that success has many fathers, but failure is an orphan. This adage resonates with us deeply. Even Aaron exemplified this principle; he lifted the Levites and dedicated them to the Lord as a special offering after they had purified themselves through ceremonial washing and changing into sacred garments. Friends, you are responsible for your spiritual growth—do not neglect it.
Another important lesson is that although Aaron’s act took place after the Levites had purified themselves and gained a measure of acceptance, Christ Jesus found us in our miserable, fallen state and demonstrated unwavering care. As the Scripture affirms, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Friends, what the Aaronic priesthood could not accomplish, Christ Jesus achieved for us by offering himself as a sacrifice. The Scripture states that Jesus was crushed for our sins (Isaiah 53:5), highlighting the depth of His sacrifice and love.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me to stay diligent and committed in my daily walk with You. I pray that I will always approach our relationship with humility, recognizing my need for Your guidance and grace at every step. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
