Numbers 7:56 NLT
“He also brought a gold container weighing four ounces, which was filled with incense.”

Don’t hold back
There is a notable similarity among the gold containers described in Numbers 7: each was actively used by the tribal leaders who preceded Gamaliel, son of Pedahzur. Specifically, all these containers were filled with fragrant incense, a symbol of devotion and offering. It is commendable that Gamaliel’s gold container was also filled with incense, demonstrating his sincere participation. Although he could have excused himself by claiming that an ample amount of offerings had already been presented, Gamaliel chose not to hold back his incense offering. Friends, do not diminish your contributions to the Lord simply because others have given generously. Instead, stay committed and deliberate in your giving, ensuring each gift reflects your genuine heart’s desire to honour God Almighty in a meaningful way.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I humbly ask for the strength and resilience to stand firm and follow through with my decisions whenever I am in Your presence. Please help me remain committed to my values and responsibilities, regardless of how others’ actions or inactions—such as their lack of support or indifference—might influence me to reduce my efforts, generosity, or dedication to what I believe is right. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
