Strong Tower: A daily scripture reflection.

Numbers 6:24 NLT
“May the Lord bless you and protect you.”
In whose hand?
Some time ago, an individual was told that their divine protection would be revoked unless they submitted to the manipulations and arbitrary demands of a self-proclaimed man of God who often exploits people’s faith for personal gain. This person is not alone; many others face similar spiritual abuse and are unaware of how to escape the control or free themselves from such manipulative schemes (Isaiah 5:13). The reason for this widespread ignorance is often a lack of understanding about who truly bears the responsibility for their spiritual safety.
In the referenced scripture, God, through the special blessing given to Aaron and his descendants, makes it clear that protection, like blessing, is solely within His divine authority—an authority that is not to be manipulated or demanded. It’s important to note that God did not ask for money, bribes, or material offerings, nor did He instruct Aaron and his sons to demand anything in exchange for the protection that only comes from Him, sovereign and unmerited. Friend, are you afraid, or has Satan threatened you with fear or doubt? Don’t just remember His word but also internalize it, and you will experience joy like a river.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me not only to understand that my protection is in Your hand alone but also to clearly see that it is within Your character to protect Your own children. I trust that You will faithfully guard me and my household from harm, always watching over us with Your loving and omnipotent care. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
