Numbers 6:21 NLT
“This is the ritual law of the Nazirites, who vow to bring these offerings to the Lord. They may also bring additional offerings if they can afford it. And they must be careful to do whatever they vowed when they set themselves apart as Nazirites.”
Clear standard
It is often said that where there is no law, there is no offence. The essence of the law is to ensure consistency in the delivery or performance of any task, establishing clear standards and accountability. Without such frameworks, individuals are likely to behave arbitrarily, making it difficult to determine what constitutes right or wrong.
In the referenced scripture, the Lord affirmed that Moses’ instructions were the sole acceptable way to fulfill the Nazarite vows, underscoring the importance of adhering to divine commandments. This underscores that any deviation or addition would be considered an aberration, potentially compromising spiritual integrity.
Friends, let us endeavour to strictly adhere to the Lord’s instructions in all our endeavours. Recognize that following His guidance signifies love and trust in Him, and it ensures that His glory remains unclouded by human alteration or disobedience.

Heavenly Father, please help me to sincerely take Your instructions seriously, carefully follow every detail You provide, and never feel at liberty to add anything of my own or alter what You have commanded. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
