Numbers 5:27-28 NLT
“If she has defiled herself by being unfaithful to her husband, the water that brings on the curse will cause bitter suffering. Her abdomen will swell and her womb will shrink, and her name will become a curse among her people. But if she has not defiled herself and is pure, then she will be unharmed and will still be able to have children.”
‭‭

If she has defiled…
Have you noticed that God does not qualify the married woman accused of infidelity in any way? In God’s eyes, it does not matter how long she has been married, whether she has children, or whether she and her husband are poor or rich; the process remains the same. The Lord does not exclude women from any particular tribe. Married women from the three clans of Levi—Kohatite, Gershonite, and Merarite—are held to the same standard as married women from other tribes of Israel.

Regardless of any societal constructs that the married woman suspected of infidelity may belong to, they are irrelevant to God, as the punishment for unfaithfulness is the same for all. God is the Righteous Judge, embodying absolute fairness and justice. He does not take sides or show partiality; His divine nature demands unwavering impartiality. As scripture teaches, He is not a respecter of persons; He evaluates every individual based on their actions and intentions, holding each to the same standard of truth and righteousness, regardless of status, wealth, or background.

Unlike some who may take pleasure in making life difficult for anyone under scrutiny—whether guilty or innocent—God does not act in this way. He supports the faithful and ensures that they do not face corruption. This is why bodily afflictions, such as swelling of the abdomen or shrinking of the womb, will not be their fate.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You because You do not allow the righteous to partake in the rewards of the unfaithful. Please help me in my walk to remain faithful to You to the end. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
