Strong Tower: A daily scripture reflection.

Numbers 4:42 NLT
“The Merarite division was also listed by its clans and families.”
Not forgotten
The use of the word “also” in the referenced scripture carries significant weight, underscoring that specific actions had taken place before the mention of the Merarite clans—specifically, the detailed listing of other Levitical clans. This prompts us to consider whether Moses and Aaron completed this task for all the Merarite clans on the same day. Given the intensity and meticulous attention required for such a sacred task, it seems highly improbable that the Merarite clans were listed on the same day as their Kohathite and Gershonite counterparts. This naturally raises a thought-provoking question: What were the Merarite clans doing while they awaited their turn?
It is unlikely that they engaged in distractions or frivolities that might provoke God to reconsider their commitment. Instead, they were likely filled with anticipation, grounded in hope and faith, knowing that their moment would eventually arrive—and indeed, it did. Beloved, your time for glorification will come; therefore, remain expectant and committed to holiness. The blessings that flow into the lives of others do not negate or diminish the opportunities that are destined for you. So, as we observe the celebrations of those whose time has come, rejoice and support them wholeheartedly.
As we journey through 2026 and beyond, let us tap into the empowering strength of the Holy Spirit. Make a conscious effort to immerse yourself in God’s Word, allowing it to transform your awareness and actions. Pray without ceasing, nurturing a constant connection with our heavenly Father. Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of all life. Place your trust in Him, and here’s why: the lyrics from We the Kingdom’s 2022 song “Miracle Power” succinctly express it:
I may not know
What a day may bring
But I know
Who brings the day.
Beloved, as long as you align yourself with the One who brings the day—who is the I AM WHO I AM—there is no need to fret. Be expectant of the blessings that await you this year and for the years to come.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me trust that my moment for promotion and the fulfillment of Your promises will never escape me, and that what You have planned for my life will come to fruition. More importantly, I ask for Your guidance in remaining steadfast in You, so that I will be ready when the time of refreshing comes from You. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
