Numbers 4:14 NLT
“All the altar utensils—the firepans, meat forks, shovels, basins, and all the containers—must be placed on the cloth, and a covering of fine goatskin leather must be spread over them. Finally, they must put the carrying poles in place.”
All the altar utensils
Whenever an endeavour reaches completion, we often forget to acknowledge the significant role that small tasks play in its success. For example, a magnificent house is typically judged by its visible attributes, yet several minor details are essential to its construction. By mentioning the altar utensils, the Lord emphasized their critical role in ensuring seamless priestly services. This verse illustrates that God values every aspect of His people’s worship, whether it is minor or major.
In Hebrews 6:10, the writer asserts that God will never overlook the labour of love, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem to us or others. Each act of service and dedication, whether performed in public or in private, holds profound importance in God’s eyes, as it collectively contributes to His greater purpose. Therefore, let us not become weary in performing our minor roles with enthusiasm, doing everything for His glory alone.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that You do not overlook the contribution of any act of service in Your presence, no matter how seemingly minute they may appear. Please help us to recognize and value each contribution, understanding that even the smallest actions can have significant impacts. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
