Numbers 3:51 NLT
“And Moses gave the silver for the redemption to Aaron and his sons, just as the Lord had commanded.”
Moses gave the silver
In Numbers 3:48, we find a powerful command from the Lord directing Moses to deliver the redemption silver to Aaron and his sons. This moment is not just a passing direction; it signifies a profound act of obedience. As Numbers 3:51 shows, Moses didn’t simply hear the Lord’s instruction; he actively put it into practice.
Friends, take a moment to reflect: do you wholeheartedly pursue the fulfillment of what the Lord has placed on your heart, or do you approach His guidance with a sense of indifference? What Moses undertook, although it might have seemed trivial or even foolish in the eyes of others, was a mission that brought immense joy to God. With a spirit of selflessness, he entrusted all the silver to Aaron and his sons, withholding nothing for himself.
Moreover, it’s evident that Moses’s household was in harmony and focused on God’s will, as every ounce of silver reached its rightful recipients without a trace going missing. This underscores Moses’s unwavering commitment to instilling the values of faith and obedience within his family, nurturing them in the ways of the Lord.
Prayer
