Make two trumpets
Did you know that some teachers derive satisfaction from asking students questions they haven’t been taught, inevitably penalizing those who do not know the answers? While humans are capable of such behaviour, God does not. When the Lord instructed Moses to make the two trumpets, the I AM WHO I AM knew that He possessed the capacity and resources to accomplish this task. Notably, the Lord did not ask Moses to source silver from the Israelites or to delegate the construction to anyone else; He expected Moses to use his own time, skills, and resources to complete the job. Interestingly, Moses did not refuse the request. Friends, should the Lord ask you to use your resources, don’t refuse because He who ensures Moses didn’t complain about lack will meet your needs. Another important lesson is that the trumpets were not intended for Moses or his descendants’ personal use, but served a communal purpose—to call the community together for assembly, whether to gather their tents or to break camp.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please equip me with all the necessary resources, including wisdom, strength, and guidance, to effectively complete any assigned task. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
