Numbers 10:13 NLT
“When the people set out for the first time, following the instructions to the Lorf had given through Moses.”
When the people set out for the first time…
The referenced scripture highlights a pivotal moment when the Israelites began their journey for the first time. Notably, they did not follow the expectations of their surrounding environment or rely on their emotional impulses; instead, the scripture explicitly states that they obeyed “the instructions the LORD had given through Moses,”. Similarly, as followers of Christ, we are called to move forward not by instinct or external pressure, but by obeying the specific guidance He has provided through His Holy Spirit—the Spirit of Truth, who illuminates our path and reveals God’s will in precise terms. Friends, your moment to move forward will arrive just as it did for the Israelites, but it is crucial that you adhere strictly to His instructions, paying close attention to the details and nuances of His guidance. Do not use any advice, strategy, or instruction that did not help you reach your current position as a stepping stone to your next goal; instead, keep your foundation solid and Christ-centred.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that when the moment arrives for me to set out on my journey, I will faithfully follow the specific instructions and guidance you have provided to ensure I navigate my path successfully. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
