Leviticus 3:15 NLT
“the two kidneys and the fat around them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver. These must be removed with the kidneys,”
Why kidney
One thing about our God is that He never hides information. So, why did He request that the two kidneys and all the fat in the peace-offering animal be offered to Him? In the Bible, the human kidneys are cited figuratively as the site of temperament, emotions, prudence, vigour, and wisdom. Likewise, the kidneys are regarded in the scripture, particularly in the book of Job, as the site of divine punishment for misdemeanors, committed or perceived. Consequently, the presentation of the animal’s kidneys reminded the presenter that God desires to take preeminence in their lives and never to give room to anything that will take them away from God’s presence.
Prayer
Almighty God, please take preeminence of my life such that I will forever remain in Your presence. In Jesus’s name, amen.
