Exodus 40:8 NLT
“Then set up the courtyard around the outside of the tent, and hang the curtain for the courtyard entrance.”
The courtyard entrance
The setting of the Tabernacle centered on several items, and one such was the curtains. You will observe that the setup of these curtains was at strategic places. And according to today’s referenced scripture, the courtyard had to go up first, after which Moses would have to raise the curtain for its entrance which implied that the courtyard had one door. Thus, all the priests had to go through it. The door was symbolic because it foreshadowed Christ Jesus. In the book of John 10:9, “Jesus the only way” – meaning the only door or entrance! Friends, let us go through Jesus, the right and only door wide enough to grant all of us access to God our Father.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, You are the only way, the truth and life. I accept You as my Lord and Savior, and please help me to remain steadfast in You till the end, amen.
