What manner of love?
Psalm 8 presents a question that inspires introspection and contemplation. In verse 4, it inquires, “What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?” This query prompts us to reflect on our significance in the grand scheme of things and the divine attention we receive. It is evident that God has a profound love for His creations, and this is especially true for human beings. As our creator, He takes a keen interest in our well-being, and this includes our health. God’s knowledge extends to all domains of life, including public health, as evidenced by His early implementation of the practice of prohibiting priests from consuming meat after three days to avoid foodborne illnesses. This is a clear indication of God’s concern for His people and His desire to protect them from harm.
Prayer
Dear God, I am grateful for always taking care of my well-being. Please help me to remember and appreciate Your kindness every day. I pray this in Jesus’s name, amen.
