Numbers 10:10 NLT
“Blow the trumpets in times of gladness, too, sounding them at your annual festivals and at the beginning of each month. And blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and peace offerings. The trumpets will remind your God of his covenant with you. I am the LORD your God.”
I am the LORD your God
In Numbers 10, the Lord instructed Moses to craft two trumpets that Aaron and his descendants are to sound at designated times. These times include when the cloud over the Tabernacle is lifted, signalling the start of a new journey; during times of distress, to call the community to prepare and seek divine guidance; and during moments of joy and festivals, to rejoice and give thanks. Since these trumpets were not linked with distress, hearing them did not cause panic attacks. Additionally, blowing these trumpets during joyful occasions reminds God of His covenant. Friends, when you are joyful and blessed, do not forget to sound the trumpet of thanksgiving to the Lord, as this act reminds Him of His everlasting covenant with you.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me remember to sincerely thank You during moments of genuine joy, so that I may cultivate greater gratitude and open my heart to receiving even more of Your blessings into my life. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
