Numbers 10:7 NLT
“But when you call the people to an assembly, blow the trumpets with a different signal.”
With a different signal
God’s attributes are numerous and cannot be fully catalogued, yet He continually demonstrates them through various acts and interactions. For instance, the scripture references an instance where God instructed Moses to blow the trumpets with a specific signal whenever He summoned the people for an assembly. It is important to note that Moses used the same trumpets in all situations; however, God wanted to ensure the signal did not conflict with other instructions or cause confusion. This emphasizes that Moses could not use the dedicated signals frivolously or for entertainment. Similarly, whenever God grants us discretion to make decisions or take action in His household, we must ensure our choices align with His will. More importantly, we should avoid using our discretion in ways that cause chaos or confusion. When God grants us the liberty to act on His behalf, we should strive to represent Him faithfully and responsibly.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me to avoid misusing the sacred privilege I have been given to serve and perform tasks within Your Kingdom, and guide me to do so with humility, sincerity, and dedication. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
