Numbers 8:1 NLT
“The Lord said to Moses,”

Irresistibly attractive to God
God does not operate on a system where access to His presence is given based on the highest bidder’s offerings. If that were the case, the twelve tribal leaders who brought large offerings for the dedication of the altar of burnt offering in Numbers 7 would have been the main recipients of divine messages. Another key lesson is that, although God appointed Aaron and his sons to serve as mediators between Himself and the people, He still maintained a personal and ongoing relationship with Moses. This raises the question: what about Moses made him so irresistibly attractive to God? The answer lies in Moses’s intentional effort to build a continuous relationship with God. As Numbers 7:89 shows, Moses approached God without a strict schedule, suggesting a spontaneous and ongoing fellowship rather than scheduled prayer times. His relationship with God wasn’t limited to morning and evening rituals but was constant and unending. The scripture highlights that it wasn’t Moses who initiated these divine encounters; rather, it was God who sought him out first. Friends, you can develop a walk with God so close that the I AM WHO I AM actively seeks out conversations with you, just as He did with Moses, creating a relationship rooted in mutual longing and divine initiative.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I willingly offer my life to You; please speak to me clearly and guide my steps. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
