Strong Tower: A Daily Scripture Reflection

Numbers 7:55 NLT
“His offering consisted of a silver platter weighing 3-1/4 pounds and a silver basin weighing 1-3/4 pounds (as measured by the weight of the sanctuary shekel). These were both filled with grain offerings of choice flour moistened with olive oil.”
Both filled
The offering that Gamaliel presented to Moses for the dedication of the Tabernacle was not given on behalf of the tribe of Manasseh, but was a personal offering. The lesson is that the silver basin and silver platter Gamaliel presented were taken from his own personal possessions rather than being contributions from the members of the tribe of Manasseh. In other words, Gamaliel did not acquire these gifts by taxing or pressuring the people of Manasseh. Another lesson to consider is that Gamaliel did not fill one of the vessels himself, presuming that Moses would not closely inspect both containers. Friends, whatever effort is worth undertaking is worth doing with excellence. Are you consistently performing your endeavours with integrity and for God’s glory, ensuring that your actions reflect sincere dedication and honour?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, in everything I do for You—whether in prayer, service, or daily life—I pray that it will never be half-hearted but wholeheartedly committed to Your glory at all times. Please help me, God, to remain sincere and dedicated in all my efforts, guided by Your grace. I ask this in Jesus’s name. Amen.
