Numbers 6:24 NLT
“‘May the Lord bless you and protect you.”

The Lord’s exclusive right
A common question that often confuses people is the true source of blessings. Is it a person’s own effort or the influence of others within their social or spiritual network? The reference cited above clarifies this confusion clearly by explicitly stating that all blessings come solely from the Lord, highlighting divine sovereignty. While effort, such as diligent work and sincere faith, is praiseworthy and significant, the Bible stresses that unless the Lord builds the house, its builders work in vain, underlining the Lord’s leading role in the outcome.

It is essential to understand that the priest’s role is to convey the blessing; he does not have the power or authority to bestow it, as every blessing comes directly from God’s divine authority and sovereignty. The blessing God gives does not depend on the priest’s anointing, because firstly, it is not meant for that purpose, and secondly, it is God’s exclusive right.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me to focus entirely on You, so I can recognize and appreciate every blessing—whether spiritual, emotional, or physical—that my life needs to grow, improve, and find purpose comes from You. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
