Numbers 6:13 NLT
“This is the ritual law for Nazirites. At the conclusion of their time of separation as Nazirites, they must each go to the entrance of the Tabernacle.”
At the conclusion
Whenever an important endeavour is completed, it is common for the person who achieved it to gather family and friends for a celebration, often involving shared meals, speeches, and expressions of gratitude. However, the message in today’s scripture reveals that the Lord did not require any victory dance or outward display of triumph from the individual whose Nazarite vow had come to an end. Instead, that person was instructed to go to the entrance of the Tabernacle—specifically, the gate of the outer courtyard—and present themselves there before the priests. This is because their Nazarite vows did not grant them the same level of access to the sacred areas as the priests, who served as mediators between God and the people. This implies that, even when consecrated and set apart through vows, humility remains nonnegotiable for anyone taking the Nazarite vow, underscoring reverence and obedience. Friend, regardless of how close your walk with the Lord may be, never forget to humble yourself before Him, recognizing His sovereignty and seeking His glory alone, always and in all things.

Heavenly Father, please help me to remain receptive to Your guidance and not to exclude or distance myself from Your instruction. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
