Numbers 4:41 NLT
“So this was the total of all those from the Gershonite clans who were eligible to serve at the Tabernacle. Moses and Aaron listed them, just as the Lord had commanded.”

Moses and Aaron listed them
The last sentence of the referenced scripture offers two important insights for our daily lives. First, it highlights that two people were assigned a single task, and it is noteworthy that God did not specify who should lead. Despite the absence of a clear leadership structure for the assignment, there is no evidence of conflict between them as they worked on the task. This suggests that their focus was on fulfilling God’s will rather than on who was in charge. Beloved, let us prioritize doing God’s will and diligently attending to His assignments above all else.

Additionally, their families played a crucial role in maintaining harmony. The lack of discord or disruptive behaviour within their households was essential to ensure their mission was not compromised. This narrative challenges us to reflect on our own lives and encourages us to cultivate unity. Let us strive to live in harmony, embrace the spirit of togetherness, and counter the efforts of the accuser of the brethren, who thrives on division and strife.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me live harmoniously with my fellow brethren, so that every divine assignment requiring our collective effort can be performed seamlessly for Your glory alone and always. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
