Numbers 4:39-40 NLT
“The list included all the men between thirty and fifty years of age who were eligible for service in the Tabernacle, and the total number came to 2,630.”
Stay humble
At the heart of the referenced scripture lies an important message. It’s not just about listing the Gershomite males aged 30 to 50; it’s also about their eligibility to serve in the Tabernacle. Their involvement wasn’t conducting or attending worship; it centred on active, hands-on work. The presence of thousands of Gershomites indicates that God has ample resources, and no one can hold Him ransom.
Beloved, if you decide not to take on any assigned task in His vineyard for which you are capable, know that your decision cannot hinder the work being done even for a moment. Just as the Gershomite clans had 2,630 males aged 30 to 50 for assignments that fewer could handle, God has many people today ready to fulfill each task in His vineyard. Therefore, let us consider ourselves blessed to have the opportunity to work for the Lord in His vineyard.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me to recognize that there are willing hands You can call upon to tend to Your vineyard. May I always feel blessed to be entrusted with any task You assign to me, no matter how small it may seem. Grant me the grace to perform these duties with joy and dedication, ensuring that all I do reflects Your glory and serves Your purpose. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
