Numbers 4:15 NLT
“The camp will be ready to move when Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the sacred articles. The Kohathites will come and carry these things to the next destination. But they must not touch the sacred objects, or they will die. So these are the things from the Tabernacle that the Kohathites must carry.”
What are you carrying?
Everyone possesses the ability to perform a wide range of tasks; however, it is crucial to take a moment to reflect on whether we are not performing other people’s functions. In the referenced scripture, God distinctly entrusted particular sacred objects to the care of the Kohathites. While there were other holy items, such as the intricate curtains and sturdy crossbars that adorned the Tabernacle, the Lord made it clear that these were not the responsibility of the Kohathites. Are your duties what He assigned?
Beloved, have you taken the time to identify your specific duties within your church family? Are you actively engaged in fulfilling those responsibilities to the best of your ability? It is important to remember that just as execution of these tasks was a must for the Koharhites, the same way you cannot do less because you have the grace of God.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I humbly pray that I will not treat what You classify as a “must” as might. I pray that I will not take for granted the privileges You have given me to serve in Your name for Your glory. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
