Numbers 3:33 NLT
“The descendants of Merari were composed of the clans descended from Mahli and Mushi.”
Descended from where?
The first thing to note is that Merari was the youngest son of Levi. Yet his birth order did not preclude him from being called into God’s vineyard, emphasizing an important principle: as long as God has a duty for a person to perform in His vineyard, it is a matter of time before He calls them to fulfill their unique roles in His divine plan.
Another significant aspect of Merari’s legacy is found in his two sons, Mahli and Mushi. From these two sons, several clans emerged, illustrating that no one should despise their little beginning. It is worth noting that only those who could trace their lineage back to Merari were counted among the Merarites. Friends, can you trace spiritual lineage back to Christ?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray for the courage to appreciate my little beginning and trust that You will bring increase at Your appointed time. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
