Leviticus 19:5 NLT
“When you sacrifice a peace offering to the Lord, offer it properly so you will be accepted by God.”
What is worth doing…
In the scripture reference, the Lord emphasized the inevitability of the peace offering by the people of Israel, highlighting that it was not a matter of “if” but “when” they would engage in it. The purpose of the peace offering was to express gratitude for the blessings bestowed by God. According to the scripture, the communal meal and fellowship that followed the peace offering involved the offeror, the priest, and their families and friends.
Furthermore, it was evident that the Lord valued the proper execution of the peace offering over its timing. The emphasis was on diligently performing the offering so that God could accept the person making it. Jesus is our ultimate peace offering, carrying out the sacrifice with meticulous care. This act is central to why all who have faith in Christ Jesus have found peace with God.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I humbly pray that I will remain steadfast in my faith, firmly anchored in the completed work of Christ Jesus for my salvation and all aspects of my life. So help me, Lord Jesus. Amen.
