Leviticus 18:11 NLT
“Do not have sexual relations with your stepsister, the daughter of any of your father’s wives, for she is your sister.”
Don’t prey on them
One of the passages in the Bible that focuses on men’s conduct in relation to women under their care is Leviticus 18. Although the instructions were directed at the men of Israel, they are relevant to all men in God’s kingdom purchased with Jesus’s blood. The Lord didn’t say that men must not have sexual relations with women, but it must be with their wives; otherwise, the land will be polluted, and what happened to the previous occupants will repeat itself. Friends, the strength of any kingdom man is not based on how he can prey on women for sexual prowess but on how he can protect them so that evil will have no hold on society. With the instruction in the referenced scripture, God calls on the men of Israel and, by extension, all boys and men who call Jesus Lord and Saviour to stand in the gap. In the word of prophet Micah, the Lord wants every man to do what is right in their sexual relationships.
Prayer
Dear God, please help me not to take an interest in anything that You did not instruct me to do. I humbly pray for this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
